Australia: “Because I Say So” video campaign
For World Hypertension Day, The George Institute for Global Health, High Blood Pressure Research Council of Australia and the International Society of Hypertension have released a campaign video, with young adults encouraging their parents to get their blood pressure checked.

Belize: Food forum
In Belize, the Ministry of Health in partnership with Pan American Health Organization, the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Pana, hosted a forum to promote World Hypertension Day. The forum was be run with local chefs showing how tasty food can be prepared without using salt.

Vietnam: Tackling high blood pressure, in pictures
Global health physician-photographer Alexander Kumar has published, in The Guardian, a series of photos taken in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
These photos showcase the Healthy Hearts Initiative established by international non-profit organisation; the Novartis Foundation and PATH, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, city provincial health department and preventive medicine centre, and Hanoi University of Public Health.
The initiative focuses on regular screening, treatment, management and follow-up of hypertension, taking free services to communities.
